Custom Metal Welding FAQ
What metal materials can be welded?
We support welding of carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum alloy, copper, brass, galvanized steel and low-temperature steel. For special alloys such as titanium and duplex stainless steel, we can customize dedicated welding processes and pass corresponding qualification verification according to your requirements.
Do you support dissimilar metal welding, such as stainless steel to carbon steel?
Yes. We have mature welding processes for dissimilar metal joints such as stainless steel-carbon steel, aluminum-copper and carbon steel-alloy steel, using matching filler materials to ensure joint strength and avoid galvanic corrosion risks. We will provide targeted process plans based on your application scenarios.
How do you control welding deformation and ensure assembly dimensional accuracy?
We control deformation from multiple dimensions: adopting segmented reverse welding, symmetrical welding and fixture clamping during processing; designing reasonable welding sequence and controlling heat input; for precision structural parts, we will reserve machining allowance and perform shaping correction after welding. The final dimensional deviation can be controlled within the tolerance range required by the drawing.
What appearance treatments can be done on welds? Do you support mirror-level grinding?
Standard welds can be flush ground to keep the surface flat with the base material. For appearance parts, we can provide fine grinding, drawing treatment and mirror polishing to achieve no visible weld trace on the surface. For structural parts that do not require appearance, we provide standard weld dressing to remove welding spatter and sharp edges.
What international standards do your welding processes comply with?
Our welding quality management system conforms to ISO 3834, and weld execution standards cover AWS D1.1, EN 15085 and GB 50205. We can issue corresponding welding procedure qualification records (WPQR) and welder qualification certificates according to project requirements.
