What is the maximum depth-to-diameter ratio for deep drawing?
For single-stage drawing, typical ratio is up to 0.6:1. With multi-stage redrawing, ratios up to 3:1 or higher can be achieved depending on material ductility.
Do deep drawn parts have weld seams?
No. Deep drawing is a seamless one-piece forming process, with no welding required for the main body.
What causes cracking in deep drawing, and how do you prevent it?
Cracking is typically caused by excessive draw ratio or insufficient ductility. We prevent it by optimizing draw ratio, adding intermediate annealing and using proper lubrication.
Can you produce rectangular or square deep drawn parts?
Yes. We support rectangular, oval and irregular shaped deep drawn parts with appropriate corner radius design.
